Exaltation
Our goal at Castle Rock Baptist Church is that our Lord Jesus Christ would be exalted in all that we do. He is the Head of the body, and our desire is “…That in all things He might have the preeminence” (Colossians 1:18b).
God is seeking for those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).
We realize the worship that God desires is not limited to Sunday, but is to be an ongoing, daily lifestyle of holiness that brings honor and glory to His name. When we consistently live in obedience to the Word of God, we exalt our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Edification
As in the New Testament, Castle Rock Baptist Church gathers together for the purpose of edification. Meeting around the Word of God with like-minded believers is a source of instruction and encouragement. In the midst of a world hostile to Christ, Christians must gather regularly to build up and strengthen one another. Ephesians 4:11-16 speaks of the significance of edification in the church. Paul stressed the importance of edification in I Corinthians 14:26 “…Let all things be done unto edifying.” God has equipped each member of His church with spiritual gifts to be used for the benefit of the body of Christ (I Corinthians 12:25).
Hebrews 10:24-25 emphasizes the necessity and urgency of encouragement and exhortation among believers. Each believer at Castle Rock Baptist has the mutual responsibility of encouragement and edification toward Christ-likeness.
Evangelization
The Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20 is the personal responsibility of every true believer. In the New Testament, the early church gathered for edification and scattered for evangelization. Every member of Castle Rock Baptist Church has a personal responsibility to be a witness in his own God-appointed mission field. This mission field begins at home and extends to the neighborhood and the workplace. The primary place of evangelization is the world in which we live. The Great Commission also compels us to support missionary endeavors worldwide through prayer, financial support and personal involvement. Castle Rock Baptist Church strives to carry on the earthly mission of Jesus Christ, “…to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10).
